American Idol Tour

Although season 8 of American Idol will soon come to a close, you can still see the top ten Idols in concert by getting your American Idol tickets! The top ten American Idols will tour the U.S. for three months – from July until September. This year’s American Idol Tour will kick off July 5th in Portland, OR and will wind down September 15th in Manchester, NH.  Before the tour is done, the Idols will have visited over 50 cities, which means that they’re bound to be playing at a city near you. • This year, at the American Idols Live concert, each of the top ten contestants sings a few songs, starting with the tenth place finisher and working all the way up to the American Idol.  After each Idol gets a chance to sing solo, the top ten contestants sing together for the finale.
• Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook never planned to audition for the show.  He only auditioned after being coerced by his brother.
• American Idol season 7 was the first season to allow contestants to use instruments.  The Idols use instruments during their concerts as well.
• Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry and Ruben Studdard are the top five highest selling American Idol alumni.
