• In 2004, Dolly Parton on her Hello, I’m Dolly Tour.  She sold approximately 140,000 Dolly Parton tickets for that tour, making it the tenth biggest country music tour of that year.
• Dolly Parton has described her family growing up as “dirt poor.”  They lived in a one-room cabin in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.  To make matters worse, Dolly was the fourth of twelve children!
• A talented musician, Dolly Parton plays the banjo, drums, guitar, harmonica, fiddle, dulcimer and piano.  
• Dolly Parton owns Dollywood, an amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  It features traditional amusement park rides as well as crafts and music from the Smoky Mountains region.  The park sometimes features concerts and musical events, including Dolly Parton concerts.  In fact, from the 1990s until 2001, Dolly Parton’s concerts were primarily held at Dollywood.
