Facts about the Houston Rodeo

• Rodeo Houston is also called the “Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.” It is the world’s largest livestock and rodeo event and includes activities such as bbq competitions, wine competitions, bull riding, and of course, live concerts.  (Scroll up to see 2009 Rodeo Houston concert tickets).
• The Friday that precedes the Rodeo Houston parade is called “Go Texan Day.”  On this day, all Houstons are supposed to wear traditional western attire, including jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hats.
• Rodeo Houston is famous for hosting high profile concerts.  Some popular artists who have appeared at Rodeo Houston in the past are Miley Cyrus, The Cheetah Girls, Brooks and Dunn, Hilary Duff, and Braid Paisley.
