Trivia about Snow Patrol and Snow Patrol Concerts

  • Although they’ve only hit mainstream commercial success in recent years, Snow Patrol have actually released five albums.  Their first three – Starfighter Pilot, Songs for Polar Bears and When it’s all Over We Still Have to Clean Up were simply not as commercially successful as Final Straw and A Hundred Million Suns.
  • Before they were called “Snow Patrol,” the band was originally called “Shrug” when it was first formed.
  • Although Snow Patrol is opening for U2 for a few dates in 2009, these will not be the first time the band has toured with U2.  In fact,  Snow Patrol toured with U@ in 2005, during U2’s Vertigo Tour.
