Facts about Eagles and Eagles Concerts

  • The Eagles broke up in 1980 but reunited in 1994 to release Hell Freezes Over, a compilation of live and new songs.  The Eagles titled the album Hell Freezes Over because band member Don Henley always used to say that the band would reunite and tour only “when hell freezes over.”
  • The Eagles have toured intermittently since 1994.
  • The band named themselves Eagles as a tribute to the 1960s band, The Byrds.
  • After the Eagles recorded their fourth album, One of These Nights (1975), some band members began to fight with each other.  Between the release of this album and the eventual Eagles tour in support of it, Bearnie Leadon (vocalist, guitarist) left the group by pouring beer over Glenn Frey’s head.  To continue with the Eagles concert schedule, they ultimately replaced Leadon with Joe Walsh.
  • The video game, Guitar Hero World Tour, features the Eagles.
  • Don Henley has said that Long Road Out of Eden will probably be the last new Eagles album ever made – so make sure you see the Eagles on tour – get your Eagles concert tickets above!
