Facts about NKOTB and NKOTB Concerts
- NKOTB broke up in 1994 after releasing their album, Face the Music. Because the band’s popularity was declining at this time, the New Kids on the Block were touring at much smaller venues and clubs. During this time, Jonathan Knight began to suffer from panic attacks and had to leave the tour. Soon after Jonathan left the tour, the band cancelled the remaining tour dates and eventually disbanded altogether.
- There have been several attempts to reunite NKOTB. In 1999, MTV wanted the band to do a performance on the Video Music Awards, but Jonathan opted out. VH1 also tried to reunite them on the show, “Bands Reunited,” but three of the band members declined.
- Jordan Knight continues to record and tour. In 1999, he toured with N’Sync. His most recent album was released in 2006.
- Joey McIntyre also continues to record and tour. Since NKOTB, Joey has released a few solo albums. His most recent album, Talk to Me, was released in late 2006.
