Santana Tour 2008

Carlos Santana has been all around the world this year, but now Santana is embarking on a North American tour this fall.  The tour is part of the Live Your Light Tour.  The North American portion of this tour will play in Canada and western cities of the U.S.  The North American Santana tour is scheduled to begin September 6th in Auburn, Washington and is currently scheduled to end October 12th in Concord, California.  Carlos Santana’s son’s band, The Salvador Santana Band, will be opening the concerts on this tour.  If you want to see Santana and The Salvador Santana Band, get cheap Santana tickets here on Cheap Tickets Monster!

Trivia About Santana and Santana Tours

• Santana has sold upwards of 90 million records and has performed for an estimated 100 million people.  He has also won ten Grammys. 
• Carlos Santana is a philanthropist.  He and his wife, Deborah Santana, founded the Milagro Foundation in 1988.  The Milagro Foundation supports organizations that promote health, education, and the arts for underserved children. 
• In 1961, Carlos Santana came from Mexico to San Francisco.  A few years later he formed the Santana Blues Band, which gained a lot of popularity in the San Francisco Bay area.  By 1969, Carlos had played to packed crowds on a cross country tour and he had performed on the Ed Sullivan show as well as at the original Woodstock music festival.
