Well, you can this summer because piano pop band The Fray is touring behind their second album, their self-titled set that debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. As of this writing, The Fray tour is scheduled to take off June 29 in Cincinnati and will include over 20 concerts before winding down August 7 in Spokane, WA. Also on the concert itinerary are cities including Indianapolis, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Seattle, Vancouver and more. Trivia about The Fray and The Fray Concerts
- The Fray formed in 2002 out of jam sessions with classmates Isaac Slade and Joe King.
- The name “The Fray” came from a suggestion bowl that was at Isaac’s brother Caleb’s graduation party.
- The Fray have previously opened for Weezer and Ben Folds.
- Although The Fray’s song, “How to Save a Life,” wasn’t originally released as a single, it eventually gained popularity after appearing on several tv shows, including Grey’s Anatomy, Scrubs, One Tree Hill, and Cold Case. The song became so popular that it eventually reached the Hot 100, sold over one million downloads, and became an international hit.
