Pearl Jam 2009 Tour News
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009One band. Pearl Jam. One song. “Jeremy“. I can remember this song dominating the radio waves during my high school years, blaring in not only in locker rooms, but also on our Walkmans (yes, I said Walkmans). “Jeremy“, released in 1992 and written by the band’s lead vocalist Eddie Vedder and bassist Jeff Ament, was inspired by the story of a boy who killed himself in front of his classmates. I remember this song being a staple of my senior year of high school. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing it.
A few years later, when I was in college, I finally got to see Pearl Jam perform in San Francisco. I remember sitting out in the parking lot all morning waiting for the tickets to go on sale, because we all knew it would be a sold out venue. And low and behold, Pearl Jam didn’t disappoint us. Thousands of fans filled the stadium, and they were treated to one of the most amazing concerts I have ever attended. Of course that is just my opinion, but one cannot leave a Pearl Jam concert with any complaint of “they aren’t as good as they are on their CD” or “I thought they would have played longer, considering I spent so much money to see them”.
Pearl Jam, widely known for their album Ten, has kicked off a 26-show tour, recently adding shows in Vancouver, Utah, and Washington. The tour will include four shows in both Philadelphia, PA and Universal City, CA, crossing into Canada, and even going “down under” to Australia. You have until November 29, 2009 to see Pearl Jam, so head to cheapticketmonster.com for the cheapest Pearl Jam tickets you can find!
