Trivia about The Little Mermaid and The Little Mermaid Tickets

• The Little Mermaid had a pre-Broadway run in Denver at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from July 2007 to September 2007.  The Little Mermaid ticket sales for this production were through the roof for this six-week run.  Every single seat available (out of the 95,000 seats) had sold out.
• The musical was nominated for two Tony Awards: one for Best Original Score, and the other for Best Lighting Design of a musical. 
• The Little Mermaid on Broadway was shut down temporarily on November 10, 2007 due to the Broadway stagehand strike.  The strike ended on November 28th, however, and The Little Mermaid resumed showing previews on November 29th.
