Equus Tickets

We have tickets for Equus on Broadway!  Equus is a play written by Peter Schaffer.  The play is about a stable boy who, in a horrific gesture, blinds six horses.  A psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, then tries to figure out the motivations for this act, and in the process undergoes his own crisis about his sense of purpose.  Equus was recently revived on London’s West End and now the play has come to New York at the Broadhurst theatre.  Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths (both of the Harry Potter films) are starring in the play.  Get your Equus tickets right here on Cheap Tickets Monster!

Facts about Equus and Equus on Broadway

  • When Equus was recently revived, there was some controversy surrounding Daniel Radcliffe’s role in the play, because it required the then 17 year-old to do a nude scene.  Radcliffe insisted on performing the scene as it was scripted, however, because the scene is not “gratuitous.”
  • In 1975, Equus won the Tony Award for Best Play.
  • In the original Broadway production of Equus, Anthony Hopkins played the character “Peter Firth.”
